Opposition Leader Kevin Rudd has promised $500,000 a year to set up a Northern Territory AFL team to play in the South Australian or Western Australian football competitions.
Mr Rudd has promised that a Labor Government will lock in the funding for five years in recognition of the important role sport plays in the Territory.
