The Northern Territory branch of the Australian Education Union wants the Member for Arnhem Malarndirri McCarthy to be included in Territory Labor’s new cabinet.
Chief Minister PAul Henderson is expected to announce the new ministerial posts tomorrow, after promoting backbenchers Matthew Bonson and Len Kiely earlier this week.
Union president Nadine Williams says she hopes Ms McCarthy is chosen to tackle what she has described as the neglected education portfolio.
